Diabetes and endocrinology to be explored at Royal Society of Medicine meeting
A membership organisation and UK charity dedicated to advancing health is inviting healthcare professionals with an interest in diabetes and endocrinology to attend an event later this year.
The Royal Society of Medicine has opened registration for its forthcoming meeting, which is set to discuss a broad range of clinical case presentations in endocrinology and diabetes.
The event, National Clinical Cases: Endocrinology and Diabetes 2026, will be held on Thursday, July 2, at the Royal Society of Medicine’s headquarters in London.
This year’s meeting is designed to place trainees and medical students at the forefront, giving them the opportunity to lead the presentation of interesting cases and to drive knowledge-sharing discussions, while senior colleagues in the field listen, challenge assumptions and provide reflective insights as audience members.
A total of six cases will be selected for presentation in both diabetes and endocrinology, while the remaining accepted abstracts will be showcased as posters.
The coffee and lunch breaks throughout the day will allow attendees to engage in discussion with colleagues around each poster case displayed.
By attending, delegates will gain a deeper specialist understanding of the investigation and management of complex cases, learn from other case presentations that may discuss important updates in aetiology, genetics, imaging and treatment options and explore the tricky aspects of new aetiological understanding and management.
In addition, attendees will strengthen their clinical presentation skills through oral case-based delivery, poster displays and discussion.
Awards will be given for the top oral presentation, poster and student presentation in both endocrinology and diabetes.
Deadline for abstract submissions is Thursday, May 7. Endocrinology submissions can be made here and diabetes submissions can be made here.
Members of the Royal Society of Medicine can attend the meeting for free, while non-members will have to pay an attendance fee.
