Leading experts announced for obesity conference series aimed at empowering healthcare professionals

The Obesity & Weight Management Alliance is delighted to unveil the speaker line-up and agenda for its 2026 UK and Ireland conference series – an essential event for healthcare professionals committed to advancing obesity care.

Chaired by Professor Melanie Davies CBE, an internationally recognised leader in diabetes and weight management research, the conferences will bring together a distinguished faculty of experts.  

Speakers include Dr Michael Crotty, Professor Carel le Roux, Professor Alex Miras, Dr Dimitris Papamargaritis, Professor Wasim Hanif, Dr Louisa Herring and Ken Clare – all highly respected voices driving innovation in obesity and metabolic health.

Providing free CPD-accredited education the conferences will help healthcare professionals deepen their knowledge, stay current with the latest developments and enhance the support they provide to individuals living with obesity.
