The QiC team would like to take this opportunity to thank the amazing individuals who are working on the frontline of healthcare, and their supporters.

QiC Diabetes 2023 is now in its thirteenth year and recognises, rewards, and shares good practice in diabetes for people with diabetes and/or their families.

We invite you to share your good practice by entering this year – it is a great opportunity to win one of the prestigious awards and be recognised for your inspirational work in Diabetes delivered daily whilst working under extraordinary and immense pressure, not only during this pandemic, but day-to-day.

There are seven categories to enter, including new for 2023, Peer Support. There are also three nomination categories:

• Outstanding Educator in Diabetes

• Diabetes Professional of the Year

• The People’s Award

The judging day will take place on 8 September 2023 and the awards ceremony will take place at our exclusive programme partner Sanofi’s headquarters in Reading on Thursday 12 October 2023, dependent upon Government advice on social distancing and allowable size of gatherings.

Entries are invited from anyone working in the diabetes arena throughout the UK and Ireland. Whatever the area of patient care, if your initiative or programme relates to diabetes in any way, you should enter it. Judges are keen to review a wide spectrum of entries and recognise the innovative practice that we know is out there.

QiC Diabetes is supported by the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists (ABCD), Association of Children’s Diabetes Clinicians (ACDC), Diabetes Psychology Network, Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation (DRWF), Diabetes Specialist Nurse Forum (DSN) UK, Diabetes UK, DISN UK Group, JDRF the type 1 diabetes charity, National Children and Young People’s Diabetes Network (CYPDN), Primary Care Diabetes Society (PCDS), Trend Diabetes, United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA) and the Young Diabetologists and Endocrinologists’ Forum (YDEF).
